I'm giving this a 2 star review because of the price. I bought this book some years back and for whatever reason never read it. A friend of mine asked if I had it and I did but hadn't read it. She wanted to know if it was worth the price. 15.99 for a kindle book? No....Its not worth it. I checked and I paid 7.99 for it on kindle on March 2nd 2013. I'm not sure why the price doubled. I read it to see if it was worth the 15.99 price. No, its not. It was a 3 1/2 to 4 star read to me. But in no way is it worth 15.99. There are to many great authors out there that sale their books for 2.99 to 7.99 and are just as good or even better. I don't know if it is the author or the publisher ripping people off but I would suggest people pass on the author and search out the many other authors that are reasonably priced until this one sees the light..

the incredible story continues, in depth characters and conflicts, a wonderful read!! I always look forward to the next book waiting to see who will be bonded next and how the enemies outside will fail!
Honestly it was different but it held out to be a great read. The only part I didn't like was when Michael and Victoria entered Candy Land. Everything from the beginning seemed a bit childish like but everything else is great.
This story of angels that have fallen is interesting. Good and Evil are sounding more alike depending if your are followers of the Arch Angel Uriel or the fallen. Even Lucifer may have a bad rap. Reading this will bring you romance and adventure.

Unfortunately, this is where I part with this series. The story was ok but I got tired of the hero's constant self denial about his attraction to the heroine. By the time he came around, it was too late for me. As far as plot development to move the series forward, there's not much of it in this book.
This book takes you to some seriously inventive places...

Warrior's heroine is Tory, who has spent most of her life as a prisoner in her mother's home. Michael swoops in to free her, only to take her to Sheol. To Tory, this is just a more up-scale prison and she does not just go along graciously.

What I really liked about this book is the action that takes place outside of Sheol. Every stop puts Tory in a completely different, sometimes scary location. Lucky Tory - she gets to go to all these crazy places with Michael, her own very dark and fairly tortured fallen angel.
I completely enjoyed the first two books in this series by Kristina Douglas (aka Anne Stuart), but had some quibbles with them. I have no issues with this installment of the series. It gives less of the background of the paranormal world and is more of a paranormal romance than urban fantasy. That's fine with me. The Fallen Angels of biblical times are living in Sheol, a beachfront community off the coast of America - though I think there was an editing problem because previously it was off the coast of Connecticut and now it appears to be off the West Coast. But these so-called bad guys are actually the good guys, seeking Lucifer to lead them against Uriel, a sociopathic angel who is apparently still in God's good graces and ruling Heaven in a sadistic manner. Michael is the Warrior, and has reluctantly gone to Italy to fetch his bride, Victoria Bellona. Tory is the goddess of war, but they don't make 'em like they used to. Since few people believe in ancient Roman gods any more, each incarnation dies young and is replaced by another version. Tory doesn't know her time is running out, and she has some trouble adjusting to life among the Fallen, let alone an upcoming war with the Armies of Heaven. Things go from bad to worse she didn't enjoy life with her mother, either, but then she's kidnapped from Sheol and finds herself in the Dark City. Can Michael rescue her? What about that upcoming battle? Read it and see. This is a terrific series, and I recommend reading it from the beginning (Raziel) but you could probably read Warrior as a stand-alone book. I can hardly wait until next year, when the fourth installment will be released.
