Celtic Tempest Celtic Storm Series Book 2 edition by Ria Cantrell Romance eBooks

Since I read Celtic fury also by Ms. Ria Cantrell first I was glad to also get this book and read this prequel about the Scottish fiery short tempered but beautiful heroine Bronwyn and handsome English honor bound chivalrous hero Andrew or Drew their tempestuous love story was quite enjoyable to read. I was just utterly charmed by Drew yes he almost seemed to perfect at first but as the book progressed he really did things for Bronwyn and everything he did for her exemplified his love of her just over-all a lovely knight to have a crush on. Bronwyn on the other hand started out okay I loved her strength and tenacity of her spirit at first but as I kept reading I got a little annoyed with her doubting Drew all the time even after everything he does for her that she almost became a little shrewish to me. In actuality just brilliant character development even with some of the minor characters who were just wonderful. I couldn’t stand Erik for some strange reason but Rhianna I loved her cool calming soothing presence and I felt she got short changed in her relationship with Erik. I even loved the villain Daria and wanted more about her mental instability.
The political intrigue of all the problems of arranging a possibly hated turbulent first marriage between Bronwyn and Erik intrigued me but then the king not wanting to lose face after hearing that Drew was spied leaving Bronwyn’s chambers destroying and compromising her reputation decides to marry Bronwyn to Drew between cultures as well as just for the sake of probable supposed peace. There is just lots of action, issues and other minor characters even the cultural ramifications of joining two different cultures with some racial animosity all thrown into a romance was nicely written. It made the book not just a typical romance but more interesting and created quite a compelling drama between Bronwyn and Drew.
There were a few spelling errors not enough to detract from the story however and at times Bronwyn’s irritating behavior towards Drew I still enjoyed reading the book that I rated it four stars and will read another book of Ms. Cantrell.

Celtic Tempest Celtic Storm Series Book 2 edition by Ria Cantrell Romance eBooks Reviews

This book was such a delight. It was nice to read a book without a lot of erotica. The story line kept me engaged and it was well written. Can't wait to read more of her books.
At times I thought the story dragged a bit but as a whole I enjoyed meeting Drew and Bronwyn and watching their lives come together. I think Ms Cantrell will provide us with great stories of historical fiction.
I love this story. The characters are believable and you get drawn in to their story, their romance, their passion and their pitfalls. At times, I kept thinking that they would not be able to overcome the obstacles set in place. I think those trials and tribulations were what made their story so believable. I even hated the nemesis, Daria. She was someone you loved to hate and with good cause. This story had lots of passion, and tenderness. The ties to family, clan and country were undeniable. One could sympathize with both Drew and Bronwyn's plight. Their human qualities were not unlike ones we all experience. Even the hero and heroine had their faults. By their imperfections, one could relate to them in a realistic way.

I loved the sense of Ancient Ritual and Old Ways. There was an air of the unknown and a sprinkling of magic, too.

As for the "sultry" parts...Phew, they got my heart racing.

Loved loved loved Celtic Tempest.
I liked this read a little better than the first because the end was not rushed and the epilogue was more detailed. I loved the hero but did not like the childish, immature and ungrateful heroine. I loved al
As it is a prequel to Celtic Fury, I read Celtic Tempest first. This is a lovely romance with absolutely great chemistry between the hero and heroine. There was enough action and intrigue to keep me reading not to mention a bit a magic thrown in as well. Bronwyn is not your typical shy maid and Drew is a textbook alpha male. If you can't get enough hot Highland romance, you will definitely enjoy Celtic Tempest.
This second book in the Celtic Storm series was a good followup to the first, Knight Storm. I recommend reading Knight Storm first as this book continues that story and has many of the same characters. We had already met and fallen in love with Drew, so it was fun to find out what direction his life would take. The plot was exciting and loaded with action and adventure from start to finish. Ria Cantrell is good at making her villains very evil and easy to hate. She excels at some of the hottest love scenes I've read in historical romance novels. You really feel the chemistry and connection between the characters. This was a fun and entertaining read.
For some reason I haven't thought too much about, I like Scottish Highlander Tales. I guess a guy in a kilt does it for me. This was a good story with likeable characters plus a touch of the "Old Ways." One of the problems I had was with the editing. Like with so many of the e-Authors, a good editor must be hard to find. This book could use one. The other problem I had was with the vacillating trust issue between the two main characters of Drew and Bronwyn. Just how many times do they have to storm off only to briefly reconcile and then storm off again and again. Okay, maybe I'm too old-fashioned with a 45-yr.+ marriage, but how can they both profess to love each other completely and forevermore one minute and the next they fume at being lied to or betrayed by mistrusting sentiments. Oh, come on already!! However, I do have to say the final few chapters were redeeming and generally left me feeling content.
